Kili and Tauriel: A one-minute love story

10/12/2015

After much external pressure and internal debate, I decided to create a separate fan edit for the Kili/Tauriel love story. Without any of the unnecessary book-relevant scenes getting in the way, you can now fully appreciate the emotional journey of these star-crossed lovers. I will be happily including this on the Special Features section of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Enjoy!

Could you make a version of this flick in which you digitally replace Tauriel with Jabba The Hutt?

Also, it looks a bit violent for a romantic comedy. How about swapping the swords and bows with walkie talkies?

Will all of these extra fanedits and features fit on the two dual layered DVD's or will it need 3?

A single dual-layer DVD can fit almost 4 hours of footage, so two discs will be more than enough! The first disc will only have the first half of the film (just over two hours), and the second disc will have the 2nd half (another two hours), the Durin's Folk side quest film (one hour), and maybe 5-10 minutes of Special Features.

Oh, awesome. Thank you Dustin. I cannot tell you how excited I am for this project. Everything that I have seen for it so far looks fantastic. I have already started to gather the things to make a physical copy.

Awesome. "That was a privilige to witness" at the end was just perfect! :D
